Privacy Policy

Last updated: 24 August 2026

1. Introduction

KBY Technologies (“we”, “our”, or “us”) is committed to protecting your personal information and your right to privacy. This policy explains what information we collect, how we use it and the rights available to you.

2. Information we collect

Information you provide

  • Newsletter: your email address when you opt in.
  • Contact requests: your name, email address and message.
  • Workspace accounts: basic account details supplied by Microsoft or Google, such as your name, email address and provider identifier.
  • Saved work: articles, folders, tool inputs and reports you choose to save.

Automatically collected information

If you accept optional analytics, our first-party analytics and Google Analytics may collect random visitor and session identifiers, pages visited, timestamps, landing pages, referring hostname, campaign parameters, device category and approximate country. Our first-party analytics does not store your IP address or full referring URL.

3. How we use information

  • Send newsletters you requested and process unsubscribes.
  • Measure traffic sources, content usage and site performance when analytics is enabled.
  • Respond to enquiries.
  • Authenticate you and operate your saved workspace.

4. Cookies and tracking

Essential storage supports security, sign-in and preferences. Optional analytics storage supports first-party analytics and Google Analytics. Use the “Cookie settings” control at any time to opt out without losing access to the site.

5. Third-party services

We use Google Analytics for optional measurement, and Microsoft or Google when you choose those providers for authentication. Those providers process information under their own privacy terms. KBY Technologies does not receive your provider password.

6. Retention and security

First-party analytics events are retained for no more than 13 months. Account, correspondence and workspace data is retained while needed to provide the service or meet legal obligations. We use appropriate security measures, but no transmission or storage method is completely secure.

7. Your rights

Depending on your location, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, object to processing, opt out of analytics, or request transfer of your personal data. Contact us to exercise these rights.

8. Analytics storage summary

  • kby_cookie_consent: remembers your analytics choice.
  • kby_analytics_visitor: a random first-party visitor identifier.
  • kby_analytics_session: a random session identifier removed when the browser session ends.
  • Google and Vercel storage: used only while optional analytics is enabled.

YouTube API Services and embedded videos

Some articles use YouTube API Services to select an optional relevant video from an approved creator channel. We access public YouTube API data including the video ID, title, creator and channel identifiers, duration, embedding and privacy status, and Made for Kids status. We may store the selected video ID, title, creator attribution, channel URL and a non-reversible selection digest with the article. We do not request access to your YouTube account or private YouTube data.

Before playback, your browser may request the video's unmodified thumbnail from YouTube. The YouTube player is loaded only after you choose to play the video and uses YouTube's privacy-enhanced mode. Google and YouTube may then receive technical information such as your IP address, browser or device information, referring site and playback interactions to provide the player, enforce restrictions and prevent fraud or abuse. See the Google Privacy Policy and YouTube Terms of Service. Videos designated Made for Kids, or whose audience status cannot be verified, are not embedded.
