PAM

Also known as: Privileged Access Management

Following adds this technology to your private workspace so related learning is easier to organise and revisit.

Technology explained

What is PAM?

Privileged access management controls, monitors and audits the use of powerful administrative accounts and credentials. This profile connects the concept to KBY's practical engineering guidance.

PAM platforms commonly vault secrets, broker sessions, enforce approvals and rotate credentials so privileged access is temporary and attributable. A programme must also discover unmanaged privilege and provide tested emergency access rather than focusing only on a password vault.
