What is AWS EC2?

Amazon EC2 provides resizable virtual-machine compute instances within AWS. This profile connects the concept to KBY's practical engineering guidance.

EC2 exposes instance families, machine images, storage, networking, metadata and lifecycle controls through APIs. Instances run inside VPC networks and integrate with IAM roles, security groups, load balancers and Auto Scaling for controlled capacity and resilience.
