Following adds this technology to your private workspace so related learning is easier to organise and revisit.
What is OpenID Connect?
OpenID Connect is an identity layer built on OAuth 2.0 that lets applications authenticate users and receive standard identity claims. This profile connects the concept to KBY's practical engineering guidance.
It adds ID tokens, user-information endpoints and discovery metadata to OAuth flows. Applications must validate issuer, audience, signature, nonce and time claims rather than treating a decoded token as trusted.
Provide interoperable user sign-in and identity information to applications.
- Single sign-on (SSO)
- Identity federation
- Mobile application authentication
