What is OpenShift?

Red Hat OpenShift is an enterprise application platform built around Kubernetes with integrated build, security and operational capabilities. This profile connects the concept to KBY's practical engineering guidance.

It combines Kubernetes orchestration with opinionated defaults, operators, routing, registry and developer workflows. Cluster administration must account for both upstream Kubernetes concepts and OpenShift-specific security, lifecycle and platform services.
